Care of Flowers

Congratulations on receiving fresh flowers from Guernsey, hand picked for you. We trust the flowers have arrived in good condition, but to ensure they last as long as possible we suggest the following:

1. Cut approximately 1 to 2 cm off the stems, at an angle.
2. Place cold tap water into a clean vase and stir in the contents of the sachet of 'flower food'.
3. Remove the lower leaves from stems which will be below the water-line.
4. After placing flowers in the vase ensure they are not located in direct sunlight, or close to any direct heat source such as a fire or radiator.
5. Change the water every day, and clean the vase before replacing the flowers in fresh water.
6. Add a level teaspoon of sugar per litre of water, at each change of water.
